NOUN: Impact investments are investments made with the intention to generate positive, measurable social and environmental impact alongside a financial return.
According to Global Impact Investing Network, impact investing is intended to drive social and environmental impact in addition to positive financial return. While this is the true definition, there’s a lingering connotation that impact investing focuses on charitable acts in lieu profitability. Elise Capital is a hotel investment firm on a mission to drive impact through several key areas.
Partner Impact
We are a voice supporting other small businesses. As a hotel owner we create an ecosystem elevating small business hotel management companies, project management groups and other third party contracts and/or vendors. As a result of our partnerships and success, we have become a launch pad earning recognition for our partners by major hotel brands and other ownership groups.
Inclusion Impact
Inclusion is the start of innovation and change. The Castell Project’s 2022 study of Women In Hospitality Research reports only 22% of leaders in hospitality operations are women. Currently each of our General Manager roles within our portfolio are occupied by women.
Economic Impact
The state of current wealth gap in the United States was a critical motivating factor in the decision to create an inclusive investment firm. With our portfolio generating a cash yield of 15% higher than industry average, we contribute to the closing of the racial and gender wealth gap through income generation within our investment portfolio to our diverse group of investors.
